Today the prestigious World Branding Awards, global brand recognition accolade, saw 150 brands named “Brand of the Year”. The event was the first-ever virtual ceremony held in the history of the Awards.
The brands were nominated by over 115,000 consumers from six continents for the special biennial Animalis edition which focuses on awarding the best pet and animal brands from around the world.
Every two years, the World Branding Awards holds an event to honour the world’s animal and pet industry. This year’s event was unlike previous editions. Due to the global pandemic the World Branding Awards was held online. If you have attended one of the award events in the past, you will understand that this was much more than just a change of scenery.
“The Animalis Edition of the Awards honours the best brands in the animal and pet industries around the world, and recognises those who have remained at the forefront of consumers’ minds. Given the challenges the global pandemic has caused to businesses, it is an astounding success, to say the least.” Announced Richard Rowles, Chairman of the World Branding Forum.
A positive change took place for World Branding Awards, Animalis Edition 2021. Although the experience was virtual, this allowed brands to hear one another’s stories. Going into more depth about each winner and what it means to them to be nominated for brand of the year.
Each brand went into detail about who they are and what they stand for. It was a delightful way to add humanity to the award. Each brand had already proven themselves to their customers. This was an opportunity for them to show other brands why they deserved to win.
The award ceremony saw established media vet, Joe Inglis and entrepreneur, Lara Morgan. Both delivered keynote speeches to the guests at the event.
They shared their experiences in the industry, discussing their knowledge and progression as well as mistakes and downfalls. Inglis expressed “Pet owners are not the typical consumer”. He went on to say that “Authenticity and trust are very important values”.
Danny Pek, Chief Executive of the Forum stated, “The Animalis Edition of the Awards is very competitive. Brands that win show that they have set the standard for what is expected of other pet and animal brands to be at the top of their game.”
