Help us build a new home for our nonprofit and education users in the reimagined Trailblazer Community later this year!
Earlier today, Salesforce launched the reimagined Trailblazer Community — one modern platform to learn, earn, and connect from anywhere!
Last year, everything changed. We had to find new ways of working, learning, connecting, and collaborating. Overnight, kitchens became our classrooms and Zooms became our hangout spots. We discovered that with the right tools, we don’t always need to be “together” to be together.
Community is everywhere, and together we are redefining what a community can be in the all-digital, work-from-anywhere world.
Learn Together With the Trailblazer Community
When you log into the new Trailblazer Community today, you will be embarking on an entirely new, personalized experience centered on learning and building connections. Here are some of the new features you’ll find when you login.
1. Today Page: This will be your new one-stop-shop for all the most relevant information. The today page is a personalized homepage that brings together the Trailblazer Community feed, in-progress learning, and recommended Trailhead modules into one convenient place
2. Learning Panel: This is where learning and community join forces. Your learning panel surfaces relevant Trailhead learning content in the flow of community interactions on the topics and questions pages. Even cooler? The learning panel will suggest learning modules that match your conversations and questions.
3. Community in Trailhead GO: Everything else is mobile now — the Salesforce.org community should be too! Community in Trailhead GO brings the Trailblazer Community to mobile through Trailhead GO, Trailhead’s free mobile app. Members can post questions to the community to get answers quickly and access direct messages to connect with Trailblazers from anywhere.
What Does This Mean for the Power of Us Hub?
We’re building a new home for our nonprofit and education users in the Trailblazer Community later this year. But don’t worry, nothing is happening just yet! We plan to spend the next few months working with you to prepare for the change and will keep you updated along the way. Stay tuned, the Salesforce.org Community Team is planning a series of enablement webinars and sessions to prepare for our move, and keep an eye on the About the Hub group for more information.
“When I think of the heart of the Salesforce ecosystem, two things come to mind: the incredible people who make up our community, and the drive those people have to make the world a better place. The Salesforce.org community has always been an integral piece of what makes us tick, and this move will allow for deeper collaboration and engagement across sectors.”
– Jessica Langston, Director Trailblazer Community
Our partners at Salesforce.com invested in creating a community platform that offers a personalized and intelligent experience that is more tightly integrated with Trailhead and other Salesforce sites. This is a significant moment in the evolution of the Trailblazer Community.
Ever since we launched the Hub, we received feedback about how challenging it is to exist in two Salesforce communities, the Hub and the Trailblazer Community. We know how much people love the culture of the Hub but find it difficult having to go to another place to interact in their user groups or ask a question about a platform feature. When we launched the Hub eight years ago, we believed that the value of having dedicated space just for nonprofit and education customers outweighed all these challenges.
As we look at the features and functionality in this new, reimagined Trailblazer Community platform, and recognize that the audience for the growing suite of Salesforce.org products is extending beyond traditional 501c3 nonprofits and schools, we see the new platform as a place where we can bring together a disconnected experience and grow the community of people who want to help use Salesforce to drive social impact and social change.
What Do I Need To Do Now?
Check out the new Trailblazer Community platform and continue to engage in the Power of Us Hub. Now is a great time to do your own personal community audit — update your group memberships, topic follows, and notification settings. This will ensure you have everything you need for success when we make the move.
If you have feedback about what you would like to see in our new home, please join the Salesforce.org Community Feedback Forum group in the Hub. And, as always, please feel free to reach out to your dedicated community managers, Anne Young and Lizzy Roberts, with any questions.
