Working as a CD at Denver’s Amélie since June, Jacqueline Mellow fairly recently relocated to Colorado from New York where she worked as a freelancer for many years across the big-agency circuit. Jacqueline’s been in the advertising and design world for 12+ years — going from working in larger advertising agencies on big brands such as Cadillac, Hallmark and Miller to working in more intimate interactive shops on clients such as Fresca and Humane Society.

In addition to being obsessed with design, Jacqueline leads a double life as an author where she’s won awards and hit best seller’s lists. She is also the co-founder of She Is Booked, a literary-themed fundraising organization that supports women’s charities.

John Lewis Partnership becomes one of the first UK businesses to toll out NHS Covid-19 testing

The John Lewis Partnership has become one of the first UK businesses to successfully pilot and roll out NHS Test and Trace lateral flow Covid-19 testing, thanks to a partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care.

Rapid Covid-19 testing was introduced initially to the national John Lewis distribution centre at Magna Park, Milton Keynes, in November, which in response to huge Black Friday and pre-Christmas demand, processed around 135,000 orders per day during the month.

Up to 1,000 Partners and temporary agency staff volunteered to be tested up to three times a week. With around 1 in 3 individuals with Covid-19 not displaying symptoms, testing helps to protect staff and customers by quickly identifying those that need to isolate, ensuring they did not unknowingly pass on the virus.

Luke Letlow, Louisiana’s newest Republican member of the U.S. House, died Tuesday night from complications related to COVID-19 only days before being sworn into office. He was 41 years old.

Letlow spokesman Andrew Bautsch confirmed the congressman-elect’s death at Ochsner-LSU Health Shreveport.

“The family appreciates the numerous prayers and support over the past days but asks for privacy during this difficult and unexpected time,” Bautsch said in a statement. “A statement from the family along with funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.”

The incoming congressman, elected in a December runoff and set to take office in January, was admitted to a Monroe hospital on Dec. 19 after testing positive for the coronavirus disease. He was later transferred to the Shreveport facility and placed in intensive care.

Letlow is survived by his wife, Julia Barnhill Letlow, and two children.
